Welcome to Tsuzuru (綴る)("we," "our," or "us"). Tsuzuru is a mindful, minimalist personal finance manager designed around the Japanese Kakeibo method. We value your privacy above all else: your financial data is personal, sensitive, and belongs solely to you.

We only collect information necessary to provide and improve our financial management services:

• Account Information: When you register via Google Sign-In or email, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture provided by Google OAuth.
• Financial Data: Transactions, account names, categories, currency preferences, budgets, recurring bills, and savings goals that you explicitly log.
• Receipts & OCR Images: Images or text snippets of receipts that you choose to upload for automated item extraction.
• Device & Notification Data: Web Push notification endpoints if you opt-in to bill reminder alerts.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly to deliver core app functionality:

• To compute your balances, budget limits, spending charts, and financial health scores.
• To parse receipt items via Google Gemini API when you initiate a scan.
• To send you scheduled reminders for recurring bills (if enabled).
• To maintain secure authentication and protect against unauthorized access.

4. AI & Receipt Processing

When you use the AI receipt parsing feature, your receipt image or text is transmitted securely to Google Generative AI (Gemini API) solely to extract line items and prices. We do not use your receipt data to train public AI models, and Google processes this data according to their enterprise API confidentiality terms.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We never sell, rent, or monetize your personal or financial data. We do not serve third-party advertisements. Data is only shared with essential infrastructure providers required to operate the service:

• Google Cloud: For OAuth authentication and AI receipt parsing.
• Hosting & Database Providers: For encrypted cloud database and application hosting.

6. Data Isolation & Security

We implement strict row-level user isolation. Every query in our database is scoped strictly by your user identifier, ensuring no other user can access or view your financial records. Communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is stored for as long as your account remains active. You may request the export or complete deletion of your account and all associated financial records at any time by contacting us.
